HOW DO NON-RESIDENT MORTGAGES WORK IN SPAIN?


Non-resident mortgages are loans granted by Spanish banks so that foreign clients or Spanish expats with their tax residence in another country can purchase property in Spain.

For Spanish banks, a client’s nationality and tax residence, as well as the currency of their income, are extremely important.
